Problem

The Avantra Server is not able to download the Automation Add-Ins from api.avantra.com.

An outgoing Web Proxy is involved.

The error message shows that the proxy has changed the SSL certificate chain causing an authentication error.

Solution

For Windows Systems

Edit the Java properties of the two Windows services and add the parameters as shown below:

This forces Avantra to use the certificate store in Windows.

Test the solution

On Windows, hold the ALT key when clicking the "Check for updates" button.

A new window will pop-up, allowing you to verify whether a connection can be established.
